Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology (BHSc.Kin) at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Brandon then applied to and graduated from Queens University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy(M.Sc.PT). Brandon has completed his Manual Therapy Level 1 and is currently working towards completing the remainder of the Manual Therapy Levels. Brandon has a strong sports therapy background in taping techniques, Soft Tissue Release training, and extensive knowledge of many sports related and orthopaedic injuries. As a former high-level athlete, past experience as a trainer with the UOIT women’s soccer/lacrosse teams and possessing degrees in both Kinesiology and Physiotherapy, Brandon has accumulated extensive knowledge from all aspects of his involvement and is excited to apply his insights to the assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of your injury.
Brandon is a firm believer in education, exercise, manual therapy and the selection and proper use of therapeutic modalities in order to achieve pain free optimal health and performance. His education and past experience allows for accurate initial assessments and ensure the “cause” and not just the symptoms are being treated. He advocates lifelong learning combined with evidence based practice and is excited to offer clients his services with the clinical teams at both Brock and Baywood locations in Whitby and Ajax.
His interest in physiotherapy started through his constant role in sports as a child. The Pickering native played mainly hockey, soccer, basketball, and performed martial arts, but also takes a keen interest in all different sports. Away from the clinic, Brandon enjoys going to the cottage, exercising, playing hockey, watching sports and trying to improve his skills daily. He coaches hockey and works with young rep hockey players on skill development and skating fundamentals.
